Issues on Migration, Health and Gender: Trainors’ Training
The quiet dormitories
of the Centro di Formacao Juvenil Dom Bosco, Lar de Juventude or the Don
Bosco Youth Formation Center, in the island of Coloane, Macau became the
hub for migrant rights advocates on August 10-15, 2003. Participants from
Hongkong,India, Indonesia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Japan, Korea, Sri-Lanka and
the Philippines were all eager to learn the knowledge and skills of being
a trainer for the interfacing issues on migration, health and gender. The
trainer was Perlyn “Lakan” Bunyi, a popular educator and a migrant
rights’ advocate.
