KOREAN MIGRANT WORKERS PROTEST AGAINST MALAYSIAN CRACKDOWN ON UNDOCUMENTED WORKERS!

As part of MFA’s region-wide mobilization to protest against the inhumane crackdown of undocumented workers in Malaysia, the Joint Committee for Migrant Workers in Korea (JCMK) organized a press conference and protest in front of the Malaysian Embassy in Korea on 22 March 2005. After the brief press release, JCMK representatives Rev. Park Kyong Seo and Ms. Kim Misun later met with the Embassy officials to air their concerns on the inhumane conditions of the undocumented workers brought about by the crackdown. The letter of appeal addressed to the Malaysian Prime Minister was also submitted to the Embassy. (See related story)
